Scarlett Johansson, The Avengers 2012

Playing ‘Black Widow‘, returning from Iron Man 2, Scarlett Johansson‘s previously “slippery fish” character starts to find her place in ‘The Avengers‘ opening in the US on 05 May 2012. “You do regular strength training, resistance training, in order to learn all that right choreography. We all have stunt doubles that are amazing,” says Johansson about training for the role. With two more Avengers movies on the cards, Johansson says, “We hope that we are able to bring these characters back, nothing’s on the table yet.Marvel’s Avengers assemble has everything, it has great characters, a wonderful story, awe-inspiring action sequences, superb acting and great dialogue. Not one minute of the runtime is wasted and every frame feels designed for a reason. This is poised to be the ‘summer blockbuster’ movie of the year without a doubt.

Currently set for release in South Africa on 26 April 2012, ahead of it’s US cinema release, Johansson stars alongside Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Mark Ruffalo, Chris Hemsworth, Jeremy Renner, Tom Hiddleston, and Samuel L. Jackson.
