On 24 August 2013, Survivor SA contestant and model, Brigitte Willers invited distinguished guests to her inaugural Glamour Aid Charity Auction Dinner at the prestigious The Bay Hotel in Camps Bay, Cape Town. Hosted by Cindy Nell-Roberts (dressed by SA designer, Hendrik Vermeulen Couturier) and Mark Bayly, guests including Natalie Becker, Sue Duminy, Sharlene Lawrence, Tammy-Anne Fortuin, Anina Malherbe and Tarina Patel, to name a few, were treated to a special performance by South Africa’s leading electric cellist Carol Thorns as well as a spectacular performance by Arno Carstens with Mike & The Mechanics lead guitarist, Mike Rutherford. During the three course dinner, guests were invited to bid on remarkable paintings by up and coming South African artists and by the end of the evening R595 000 was raised to be donated to the Make A Difference Charity (MAD) and The Chaeli Campaign.
In addition, Uwe Koetter Jewellers sponsored a Genuine Diamond for their Diamond Surprise Pyramid which one lucky guest won on the evening. A fantastic evening with an even more spectacular cause, Glamour Aid has been adding glamour to charity since 1996, for more information about the Glamour Aid Dinner & Art Function visit www.glamouraid.co.za or join their Facebook page on: www.facebook.com/GlamourAid.
