Summer has arrived in South Africa, and for the third year running I was invited to attend the annual Pink Polo Charity Event held at Val de Vie Estate, in Cape Town. This year, the main sponsor of this prestigious cancer awareness charity event was Cintron along with Vodacom. Guests in attendance at the Cintron Pink Polo 2014 included former Miss South Africa Melinda Bam, Olympic Gold Medalist Swimmer Ryk Neethling, international actress and radio personality Natalie Becker, television personality Tanya Nefdt and models Roxy Louw, Joelle Kayembe, Marine Paulsen (with her fiancé Willem Swanepoel) as well as socialites, Tammy Cameron, Nambitha Ben-Mazwi, Peta Eggierth-Symes (owner of Pallu Boutique) and Jasna Zellerhoff.

We were treated to a phenomenal polo match, delicious canapés and champagne, and if that wasn’t enough, the beautiful designs of Warrick Gautier for Jenni Button SS2014 fashion show. It was certainly a celebration of women as guests embraced the sentiment of the event throughout the afternoon at the countryside. Special thank you to creater and founder of Pink Polo in Cape Town, Edith Venter. Special thanks to Marina Nestel from The Little Black Book PR. Also thanks to Hilton Weiner for dressing me to this event.

BlackBerry are again delighted to be the main headline sponsor for the 3rd year for Pink Polo. This event was launched in 2010 and is historically held in October as it raises funds and awareness for Reach for Recovery which is the breast cancer side of Cancer Association for South Africa. It will again be held at the beautiful Val de Vie Estate in the Paarl Franschhoek Valley on Saturday, 27th October. This year has seen it take a giant step forward with even more pampering for the guests. This ranges from awesome hospitality areas, a glass of bubbly on arrival sponsored by Pongraz, a scrumptious high tea, a spectacular fashion by Polo SA, great accessories and gifts from Carrol Boyes, an Elizabeth Arden pampering area and pop up store and a fun cook off by Gaggenau to get everyone’s taste buds working.

The expected number of guests is set to increase dramatically from last year so we advise everyone to book early to avoid disappointment. This is an event not to be missed as it encompasses everything from a great venue to fabulous prizes and very fashionable afternoon as well as helping to support a very worthy cause. The BlackBerry Pink Polo has become one of the highlights of the polo season.

Book now for a very special afternoon and spot your favourite social and sports celebrities.
