5 for change black tie fundraiser

5 For Change 01

It was a fairy tale evening at the inaugural ‘5 For Change‘ black tie fundraiser event last night. The first of it’s kind in Cape Town, 5 For Change‘s Adriaan Dippenar says ‘We are very influenced by the approach taken in the US, particularly New York, where black tie events are both a huge social event and an opportunity to raise funds and awareness for organizations. There isn’t really anything too similar in Cape Town on an annual basis, and we think a city like this deserves its own black tie fundraiser that brings people who are social active opinion leaders in their circles together to make a difference’.

5 For Change 02

Joining radio personality Guy McDonald on stage to present the event, hollywood actress Kristanna Loken, introduced the five charities highlighted at the event: Let There Be Light, Greenpop, Mylife, African Brothers Football Academy and Write on Africa. Among the A-List guest, in elegant style wearing a dress by Cape Town fashion designer Elbeth Gillis, Kia Johnson, Clayton Morar accompanied by the ever stylish Jasna Zellerhoff, Leigh van den Berg and Tracy Paulucci de Calboli to name just a few.
