For over 200 years, Bisquit Cognac has been synonymous with luxury and joie-de-vivre – the joy of living. From being the official cognac of Air France Concorde to gracing the tables of royalty, Biscuit celebrates the finer things in life. With that spirit, Bisquit Cognac launched in South Africa with a lavish launch event held at the Crossley & Webb showroom in Cape Town. It was a wonderful evening with our host for the night Bob Mabena and guests including actor Bjorn Steinbach with his model girlfriend Alex McGregor as well as television personality, Danine Naidoo, comedian Siv Ngesi, cricketer Robin Peterson with his fiancée Portia Braaf. Also in attendance was socialites Thandie Kupe, Busi Nyeti, Rafeeka Allie and fashion blogger Jasna Zellerhoff. All guests were treated to a personalized engraved bottle of Bisquit Cognac to savour in leisure.

fornarina spring/summer collection 2012

Fornarina Spring Summer 2012 Collection

Feminine and sophisticated, the Fornarina Spring/Summer 2012 collection expresses the brand’s lightest and most sensual attitude, and leaves plenty of independence to the couturier’s imagination, translating to precious items resulting from great care for details and a mix or craftsmanship and design. The collections inspires a lifestyle revolving around distinctive fashion and dress-up imagery, the clothes are impalpable and precious; the target woman is self-aware and independent, always careful to express her femininity with taste and character. A collection of fancy pattern and full color themes feature treated macro patters to personalize dresses and tops with Japan or botany-inspired flowery all-overs and prints that give a fresh and exotic touch to the collection. Photographic and CMYK prints convey a precious look while delicate watercolor shades are reproduced on tops, trousers and jackets.

Colour, a sophisticated style and quality material, know how and technology innovation are the key features to the Fornarina 2012 Spring Summer Shoe collection. Fornarina’s original mood, coloured and multi-shaped, is expressed with a number of textures echoing inspirations from the fifties, sophisticated arty details, oriental patterns and ironic polka dots. Opposed to the first concept as expressed by the prints, the second collection range stands out for the use of finishes and use of materials with specific techniques, such as laser processing or a different use of mesh, stones and details taken from the military style.
