Celebrating 40 years at the top of the fashion industry, Elie Tahari’s proves he’s still got what it takes to deliver cutting-edge style and modern sophistication, in his latest Spring 2014 Collection. Inspired by the architecture of the Brazilian capital city of Brasília, created by Oscar Niemeyer in the 1950s, Tahari says the collection “brings together elements of sport with futuristic components.” Juxtaposing contrasts of strong linear shapes against graceful curves, Tahari channels the spirit and architecture of the city into the collection, using sporty high-tech fabrics, well structured garments and a cool, muted colour palate of white, mint foam, light iris, soft sky and rose mist. Here and there, bold graphics, pops of colour and iridescent snakeskin prints add some diversity to the iconic collection of bold, geometric styles, combined with relaxed fits, in an array of luxe fabrics, featuring trademark Tahari laser-cut leather, fitted scuba and raw-edge silicone.

Key items in the Spring 2014 Collection:

The Dress: Zip-front, curve-clinging leather dresses, with boxy basket weaves and eyelet detailing, bold prints and pops of colour, the perfect office-to-outing dress.

The Swing Coat: A statement cage mesh swing coat in white leather

The Blouse: Long and sheer in icy pale blue, or navy, crème and trendsetting ombre print.

The Pant: luxe and free-flowing – paired with a structured piece on top and a sexy shoe, to create a polished look.

The Heel: Neon suede, snake print pumps and leather sandals.

The Sweatshirt: Modern luxury, epitomized with an elegant, subtle print

The Black Jumpsuit

Testament to Elie Tahari’s unique talent and ability to predict what a woman wants from fashion before she even knows it, these collections hit the right notes in the style stakes, showcasing Tahari’s genius designs and flair for mixing sensual fabrics, subtle textures, strong tailoring and detailing, which have come to define the global brand.
