‘crossley & webb’ to launch investment showroom

Crossley and Webb to launch in South Africa (Denzil Jacobs)

Crossley & Webb is set to become Cape Town’s premier automotive investment destination with the upcoming launch of their 1400 square meter showroom facility in the trendy Wembley Square precinct. On track to launch in October 2013, the historic red-brick building is currently being transformed into a world class investment grade auto-trading and lifestyle centre. The masterminds behind this unique venture are experienced motoring enthusiasts and entrepreneurs, Gareth Crossley and Bryan Webb, both of whom bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the field of Supercar and classic car investments to local and international investors. “International trends, matched to our experience have shown that there is a rapidly growing local and international demand for selected classic cars, resulting in meaningful capital gains for our clients. Acquiring a classic can often be a passionate decision because the buyer just has to have it, however if the right car is bought and maintained, it will not only offer many hours of motoring pleasure but act as a real investment alternative. The detailed knowledge and reach of our team allows us to present specific propositions so that our clients can truly experience the joy of motoring,” comments Bryan. “To elegantly cater for the lifestyle requirements of our clients and allow them to spend time with their prized possessions, we will also offer a state of the art boardroom and meeting facilities, not to mention a designer Truth coffee bar, serving up the best coffee in town,” says Gareth.

With Cape Town set to celebrate its recognition as The Design Capital of the World in 2014, the Crossley & Webb showroom is on track to become a visual and acoustic highlight on everyone’s agenda, and going forward will establish itself as the Supercar and classic car investment hub of South Africa.

the big bottle wine festival 2013

The Big Bottle Festival, Natalie Becker, Bjorn Steinbach, Misty Louw, Jasna Zellerhoff, Anina Malherbe (by Denzil Jacobs)

With near perfect weather, the Big Bottle Walk About Tasting was, for many, the highlight of the Big Bottle Festival 2013. Guests were also enchanted by the statuesque models who roamed the extensive grounds dressed in KLûK CGDT couture with hair by Caitlin Howie of ‘At Yours’ and make up by Chelsea Cathrine Hare. For the first time in South Africa, guests of the Big Bottle Festival were able to view the Bentley New Flying Spur and the Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Roadster which has yet to be officially launched in the country.

Over 40 of South Africa’s top wine estates took part, including Morgenster, Buitenverwachting, Tokara, Klein Constantia, Chamonix, Delaire Graff and Mullineux amongst others. Seven of South Africa’s top chefs prepared “Winter Comfort Food” for guests, which paired beautifully with the wines on offer. Delicious meals were prepared by renowned chefs, Peter Templehoff, the executive chef of the Cellars-Hohenort Hotel, Edgar Osojnik head chef at Buitenverwachting, Rudi Liebenberg of the highly acclaimed Mount Nelson, Harald Bresselschmidt celebrated chef from Aubergine Restaurant, Roland Gorgosilich of Bosman’s Restaurant at the Grand Roche Hotel in Paarl, Gregory Czarnecki renowned for his work at the Waterkloof Estate and Brad Ball, Executive Chef of the world class Bistro Sixteen82.

I attended on the last day, Sunday 25 August 2013, with Natalie Becker, Jasna Zellerhoff, Misty Louw, Bjorn Steinbach, Tracey Lange and so many more, to enjoy a blissful day of wine tasting, mouthwatering dishes and delicious company. With the resounding success of the Big Bottle Festival 2013 event, many South Africans are already looking forward to next year’s event, which has now firmly established itself as the Western Cape’s leading social, culinary and wine tasting event. Presented in association with Vivid Luxury PR.
